Great Brand. Proven Technology.
Where the small NEC Topaz is average at best, the medium sized IPK II is a different kettle of fish - it's good, very good.
NEC systems are renowned for their build quality and reliability and the IPK doesn't deviate from this proven formula.
The IPK II not only has all the futures a medium sized business could need or want - it does them well. The designers really set out to make this a user friendly system. |

Perhaps the best illustration of this is the handsets. The handsets are easy to use, well designed, with large buttons and different soft key options amongst the different models. But the real clincher is ...they even come with their own built in user guide. Isn't that clever and so logical! It should be a feature adopted by all manufacturers.
NEC is a great brand, and the IPK II is a very good system. The one thing you may find works against it is pricing. The systems greatest strength, the handsets, are also it's weakness.
You see handsets are often the largest cost component of a phone system and the NEC IPK II handsets are at the upper end of the pricing range. You're paying $550+ for the 16 button premium and $400 + for the 32 button. In contrast, other brand handsets can be up to 30% less.
Don't despair. There are cheaper NEC handsets in the range to complement your solution so you get the best of both worlds.
